Hope this goes through. I've sent you a letter today (21st May). Hope it gets to you soon. Sounds like you're having the experience of a lifetime but need lots and lots of prayer. We'll be thinking of you. I hope you're hearing God's voice and keeping a note of what He says to encourage you in the times when it's harder to hear.
I cannot imagine living without basic things like hot water! The cultural shift seems massive, which I guess is to be expected. You're both amazing. If there's anything you crave that I'm allowed to send over, like chocolate, let me know. If you're missing British worship, there's lots on You Tube. A good site I've found lately is www.sacredspace.ie, which gives you a daily meditation based around scripture. Don't rush through if you try it. I find it really refreshing and great when I'm at the end of my wick.
sorry I've not been in touch before. It's so interesting reading about what you've been upto but lots of prayer coming your way methinks! It may sound glib but I really do find it helps to think that God never gives you more than you can bear when things are tough.
I haven't been as close to Light of hope this year because I've had to slow down a little due to the baby. There should be some training sessions coming up soon which will be good. Hopefully when you return you'll get to meet the newest member of the Ladhams family!!
Hi Guys, Sounds like you had a great time visiting your friend! Hot water - WOW! Do you have a snail mail address where you can receive mail and packages? Send me an email off the list. Things here in New Jersey USA are just fine - it's a gorgeous spring. Hi from Sharon, Harry, Cathy, Carol, Joe (16) and Norah (4)
Hi Andy, Hazel Sounds as though you're coping really well -- don't know if we could manage without the evryday things we've become so used to!!Hope you enjoyed your weekend away -- probably a while ago now. Your friends at The Gate (or should that be "The Goat what I got") are still praying for you - still chat about you both a lot Sunday mornings and at prayer box. Had a good prayer box last night at Phyllis' - afterwards tea & biscuits (suppose I shouldn't mention that!! Anyway, keep on keeping on -- I'm sure that whatever God's teaching you is going to be a tremendous blessing to many in the future. Best wishes, God bless, keep smiling, Pete, Julie, Isaac, Nathan, Anne, Mark, Phyllis, Jan, Simon, Lauren & Katie et al
We are both people who love God and having God as central to who we are and what we become. We are about to go to Nigeria to be volunteers in a mental health project called Amaudo. We plan to stay there for a year. Andy will be working as a finance officer and myself Hazel as an occupational therapist with children with learning difficulties
